Scenes, and how a board divides them
A scene is a stretch of story in one place and time. A board divides it into shots, and most AI board tools start by cutting a script into scenes. From 8 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Vendors use scene loosely: some mean a whole location, some a single generated clip. The quotes keep each vendor's sense.
Scene is also the usual unit of regeneration on drama tools, which makes it coarser than a panel edit.

2A board that becomes video
Between the script and the video in “Scene”, SceneMixer hands back the following, in its own words:
SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.

A SceneMixer segment comes out with its sound already in it: each line spoken in that character’s voice, the speaker’s lips moving with the words, and the ambience of the place — rain, traffic, a clock.
