Elser AI and Toonkit, field by field
Elser AI and Toonkit read differently on four of the six fields: camera, cast, panel edits and board export. They read alike on the board's form and the move to video. From 2 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
| Field | Elser AI | Toonkit |
|---|---|---|
| What the storyboard comes back as | Image panels | Image panels |
| How the camera angle is set | Set on the panel | Written into the shot |
| How the cast stays the same | Defined cast | Assets called by name |
| How one panel is changed | Edit the text | Part of a panel |
| How the board turns into video | Generated clips | Generated clips |
| Whether the board leaves as a file | None given | Files |
Inclusion rule. The six fields every board tool on the register is read on. Order. The order the fields take on every tool sheet.
1What sets the two apart
Two animation-leaning tools that draw panels and go on to video. Elser AI sets the camera shot by shot in Storyboard Studio and edits the script before boarding; Toonkit has the angle written into each scene and edits one region of a panel afterwards. Toonkit calls characters with @ and describes a board export; Elser AI generates designs from the story and exports the finished anime.
