Board pair: Boords and Frameo
Boords and Frameo read differently on three of the six fields: board output, camera and cast. They read alike on panel edits, the move to video and board export. From 2 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
| Field | Boords | Frameo |
|---|---|---|
| What the storyboard comes back as | Panels plus lists | Image panels |
| How the camera angle is set | Set on the panel | Read from the script |
| How the cast stays the same | Assets called by name | None given |
| How one panel is changed | Part of a panel | Part of a panel |
| How the board turns into video | Animatic | Animatic |
| Whether the board leaves as a file | Files | Files |
Inclusion rule. The six fields every board tool on the register is read on. Order. The order the fields take on every tool sheet.
1What sets the two apart
Two pre-production tools that agree on half the fields: both edit part of a frame, both make animatics and both export the board as files. They split on the board's form, Boords adding shot lists and scripts to its frames, on the camera, switched by hand in Boords and read from the script in Frameo, and on the cast, named with @ in Boords and not described by Frameo.

3A written storyboard beside Boords and Frameo
| Field | SceneMixer | Source |
|---|---|---|
| What the storyboard comes back as | A written storyboard of segments and numbered shots; no image grid comes before the video | SceneMixer, AI storyboard generator page |
| How the camera angle is set | Each numbered shot carries its own duration, framing change and action text | SceneMixer, AI storyboard generator page |
| How the cast stays the same | Character sheet crops and the location plate travel with each segment as image references | SceneMixer, AI storyboard generator page |
Inclusion rule. Fields on which the two board tools differ and SceneMixer's pages describe its own storyboard. Order. The order fields take on every tool page.
