Between the script and the video: what AI storyboard tools hand back

Board tools: six steps between script and video

Twenty-four tools that put a storyboard between a script and a video, each read on six fields: what the board comes back as, how the camera angle is set, how the cast stays the same, how one panel is changed, how the board turns into video and whether it leaves as a file. 4 of them speak to all six. As of 2026-09-25.

Inclusion rule. Tools whose official English pages describe a storyboard step between a script or brief and a video or finished board, and say something about at least three of the six fields. Order. Alphabetical by tool name.

1How to read a row

Read left to right, a row follows a board through its life. The first column says what the tool hands back: image panels, panels with shot lists beside them, or a written shot plan. The next two say how the camera and the cast are pinned down, the fourth how a single panel is changed without redoing the rest, and the last two where the board goes next: into video inside the tool, or out as a file.

A cell reading None given means the vendor's pages were read for that field and say nothing about it. It is a statement about the pages, not about the product.

2Every board tool

3Other ways in

One field across every tool sits under board fields; planning questions are under board queries; the reading rules are on the catalogue method page.
