What an animatic is and when it helps
An animatic is a storyboard played in time: panels held for their planned durations, usually with sound, to test the pacing of a sequence before any motion is made. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
On the catalogue, animatics appear as an output of boarding tools rather than of video generators.
An animatic answers one question, whether the sequence runs at the right length, and answers it cheaply.

Between the script and the video in “Animatic”, SceneMixer hands back the following, in its own words:
SceneMixer writes dialogue into the script analysis, assigns each line to a shot with a speaker and a short delivery note, and the video model performs it — picture and audio generated together, so the mouth forms that sentence in the language you chose.

A SceneMixer segment comes out with its sound already in it: each line spoken in that character’s voice, the speaker’s lips moving with the words, and the ambience of the place — rain, traffic, a clock.
